United States Flags

Each of the 50 U.S. state flags has an emblem or symbol with a specific meaning that reflects the state’s history, heritage, or resources. When displaying various flags that may include foreign entities, its important that the official order of precedence be followed in this manner:

1st – The flag of the United States of America
2nd – Foreign National flags
3rd – The flag of the President
4th – U.S. State flags in the order of inclusion into the Union
5th – Territorial flags
6th – Flags of Military Services.
